Most people know Central Utah Water Conservancy District for our water conservation efforts and focus on responsible water development. The truth is, we have many different projects and programs happening at any given moment, and we want to make sure you’re aware of everything we’re doing to help you learn and even save money!
Here are four things you might not know that we do at CUWCD.
Classes. Did you know we offer classes for both children and adults throughout the year? Our classes are both informative AND fun, and the topics are always different. We already have some fun fall classes scheduled, like our Fall Gardening class on September 7 and our Introduction to Localscapes class on September 14. You can see our current classes anytime on our website. Pre-registration is required.
Conservation outreach. We have a number of outreach programs we can come and present to groups in the following counties: Duchesne, Juab, Salt Lake, Sanpete, Uintah, Utah, and Wasatch. These programs are available at no charge and are available Monday though Saturday. You can find a list of programs on our website. Schedule your presentation by calling 801-226-7145 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Landscape plan reviews. Want to maximize your landscaping to conserve water and thrive in Utah’s unique climate conditions? Central Utah Water Conservancy District is happy to review your landscape plan and give you feedback and advice. You can set up a one-hour appointment with one of our landscape employees at our office anytime during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.). Appointments are required. Call 801-226-7145 or email email@example.com.
Utah Water Savers. Ready to start saving water on your landscape or in your home? Central Utah Water Conservancy District’s residential smart controller rebate program is now called Utah Water Savers, and if you’re not already signed up, you’ll want to do so now! As a member, you’ll be able to view cash rebates and programs available in your area, and you might be eligible for cash back on household projects and upgrades you were planning on doing anyway. Don’t miss out on the savings!
We hope you’ll take advantage of some of the great things we have to offer at Central Utah Water Conservancy District. If you ever have any questions, feel free to reach out via social media, or call our Orem headquarters at (801) 226-7100.
